Dr Wee-Sian Woon
Dr Wee-Sian Woon is a General Practitioner and a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr Woon was born in Malaysia and grew up in Canberra. He studied medicine at James Cook University in Queensland and graduated in 2012 and undertook his internship and resident years in Canberra Hospital with short stints at Goulburn Base Hospital and Cooma, NSW.
After receiving GP fellowship, he undertook locum GP work around Australia including working in Perth, Canberra, and Aboriginal Medical Services in Alice Springs and Taree, and as a sports doctor for national soccer matches. Since the beginning of 2018, he worked as a Sexual health doctor at the Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Sexual health clinic.
Dr Woon has interests in all areas of general practice and sexual health. He is an HIV s100 prescriber and Hepatitis B prescriber and holds a Diploma in Childs Health from the University of Sydney. He is also an examiner for the Royal Australian College of General practitioners.
He is currently the Australian Vice-representative for the Rajakumar Movement, the Asia-Pacific Young Doctors movement of the World Organisation of Family Doctors. Besides work, he enjoys running marathons, playing the piano and travelling.
Dr Wee-Sian Woon's usual days at our clinic are Mondays & Thursdays.
